WHAT CONSTITUTE GOOD BUSINESS CARD DESIGN?
A logo that has a good clean layout is important. It automatically suggest to who it's given that you’re a credible and professional person. Here's what you need to do to achieve a good logo:
- Use an appropriate color for your business. Don't use red if you're selling insurance!
- Speaking of colors, don't use too many. Two is more than fine. By that I mean logo and text included.
- Use only one SMALL font! Keep that font and use its varieties like bold, italic, black, whatever else may be available, but inside the SAME font family. The design will look clean, compact and professional.
- The graphic must be bold, simple and not too detailed. It helps the printing process.
- To help with the focusing of the eyes, you need plenty of white spaces, between your logo, your name and tile, and your contact info.
- A grayscale picture is ok. You could also use a cutout picture of yourself as well. It can take up to one third of the layout and be placed on the left. The picture should be from head, down to four inches below the waistline.
